Requirements/Check List
Before you can receive/send your goods – you must:- Have a Customs Delivery Order or electronic cargo entry (ECI) lodgements
- Pay applicable Customs duties and Goods and Services Tax (GST) -we can pay on your behalf to Customs
- Pay other applicable charges and levies related to other services such as MPI and Port holds
- Submit appropriate documentation if you are importing any restricted items, including
- Pets and domestic animals
- Weapons and firearms
- Hazardous substances

Client codes, Supplier codes and Food Importer Registration
For import of exports over NZ dollars 1000 you will need to register at NZ Customs. Please contact us if you need to find the supplier code of your overseas supplier. Also, if your business is in importing or exporting goods, services value over NZD 1000 you need to apply for a client code. Please contact us we can assist you to get a new supplier or client code. To apply for a Customs supplier code or a client code you will be required to complete forms which should be accurate and correct. Please contact us we can assist you with these requirements.
